TUBAN, Kabar1News.com – The Regent of Tuban, Aditya Halindra Faridzky, SE., accompanied by Forkopimda Tuban opened the Job Fair and Millennial Entrepreneur at Hotel Mustika which will take place Wednesday-Thursday (14-15/09/2022). The job fair, which was attended by 31 companies, provided approximately 2,300 job vacancies.
To the media crew, the Regent of Tuban, Aditya Halindra Faridzky, said that the job fair was held to bring together job seekers and companies. In addition, it also facilitates the community and young business people by providing licensing and counseling services, as well as banking as business development partners. “There are also a number of training providers,” he said.
Job seekers and the younger generation today are expected not only to look for job vacancies but also to be able to create jobs. One of them is entrepreneurship which is able to provide wider job opportunities.
Furthermore, the implementation of the job fair is a concrete proof of the commitment of the Tuban Regency Government to reduce the unemployment rate. The decline in the unemployment rate is expected to be able to boost the community’s economy along with improvements in welfare, education, and health. The ultimate goal is to be able to improve the quality of life of the community and the HDI in Tuban Regency . “We would like to thank all those who have supported the success of this event,” he explained.
The Regent of Tuban explained that economic growth in Tuban Regency had increased by 8 percent. In 2020, economic growth in Tuban Regency is at minus 5.58 percent and has increased to 3.00 percent in 2021.
In order to support this positive trend, continued Mas Lindra, the Tuban Regency Government will intensify similar activities. Not only that, socialization regarding job vacancies and entrepreneurship will continue to be intensified, through conventional means and utilizing digital technology. In addition, creating a safe and comfortable investment climate that is balanced with the acceleration of investment management in Tuban Regency.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Manpower and Industry Service (Disnakerin) of Tuban Regency, Sugeng Purnomo, SIP., MM., in his report stated that the implementation of the Job Fair and Millennial Entrepreneurs targets high school/vocational/MA and undergraduate graduates in Tuban Regency. Companies participating in this activity come from inside and outside Tuban Regency. “There are also job vacancies to go abroad,” he said. There is also an exhibition booth for MSME and IKM products.
Sugeng Purnomo added that on this occasion an award was also given to companies that have supported the implementation of the employment social security program for their workers. Also submitted a Certificate of Competence from the National Professional Certification Agency for Natural Batik Dyeing and Designer of Batik Fabric Motifs. (mct/imm)
